By accessing or using Rognoc (the "Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Platform. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Rognoc.
We recommend that you also review our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.
Rognoc is a platform that connects property owners ("Owners") with professional tradespeople ("Professionals") for construction and renovation projects. The Platform facilitates:
Rognoc acts as an intermediary platform. We are not a party to any contract or agreement between Owners and Professionals, and we do not perform, guarantee, or warrant any construction or renovation work.
The Platform is currently in an Early Access phase. During this period, all features are provided free of charge. We reserve the right to introduce fees, subscription plans, or other pricing changes in the future. We will notify users in advance of any such changes.
During Early Access, certain features may be limited, modified, or discontinued without prior notice. We provide the Platform on an "as is" and "as available" basis during this phase.
You must register for an account to use the Platform. When registering, you must choose a role: Property Owner or Professional. You agree to:
Your password must be at least 8 characters and contain at least one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, one number, and one special character. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that contain false or misleading information.
The Platform facilitates the creation of contracts between Owners and Professionals. Contracts may be generated with the assistance of artificial intelligence (AI) based on the project and task details provided by users. Users are responsible for reviewing all contract terms before signing.
Once both parties digitally sign a contract through the Platform, it becomes a binding agreement between the Owner and the Professional. Rognoc is not a party to these contracts and bears no liability for obligations arising from them.
AI-generated contract drafts are provided as a convenience and starting point. They do not constitute legal advice. Users are encouraged to seek independent legal counsel for significant contracts or if they have questions about their legal obligations.
During the Early Access period, the Platform is free to use. When payment features are activated, the following terms apply:
You may upload content to the Platform, including text, images, documents, and other materials ("User Content"). You retain ownership of your User Content. By uploading content to the Platform, you grant Rognoc a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content solely for the purpose of operating and providing the Platform's services.
We reserve the right to remove any User Content that violates these Terms. All uploaded files are automatically scanned for viruses and malware. Accepted file formats include JPG, PNG, and WebP images, with a maximum file size of 5 MB per file.
The Platform provides real-time chat functionality for communication between project participants. All messages, including text, images, and file attachments sent through the Platform's chat system, are stored on our servers.
You will also receive notifications and emails from the Platform regarding account activity, project updates, and other service-related communications. These transactional communications are necessary for the operation of the Platform and cannot be opted out of while maintaining an active account.
The Platform uses artificial intelligence (powered by Anthropic Claude) to assist with certain features, including contract draft generation and task planning. AI-generated content is provided as a tool to assist users and should be reviewed carefully before use.
The Platform allows Owners to leave reviews and ratings for Professionals after work is completed. Reviews must be honest, fair, and based on your actual experience. You may not post reviews that are defamatory, fraudulent, or intended to manipulate ratings.
Rognoc does not verify the accuracy of reviews and is not responsible for their content. We reserve the right to remove reviews that violate these Terms.
The Platform, including its design, code, features, logos, and all related intellectual property, is owned by Rognoc and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on any part of the Platform without our prior written consent.
Your use of the Platform does not grant you any ownership rights in the Platform or its content, other than the limited right to use the Platform in accordance with these Terms.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
You use the Platform at your own risk. You are solely responsible for verifying the qualifications, licenses, and insurance of any Professional you hire through the Platform.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Rognoc, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Platform, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.
Disputes between Owners and Professionals regarding projects, work quality, payments, or contractual obligations should be resolved directly between the parties. Rognoc may, at its discretion, assist in facilitating communication between parties but is not obligated to mediate or resolve any dispute.
For disputes between you and Rognoc regarding these Terms or the Platform, we encourage you to contact us first at support@rognoc.com to seek an informal resolution. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it shall be governed by the laws of Hungary and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hungary.
Upon termination, any outstanding contractual obligations between you and other users remain in effect. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including but not limited to intellectual property provisions, limitation of liability, indemnification, and dispute resolution.
We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. For significant changes, we may also notify you via email or through a notice on the Platform. Your continued use of the Platform after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Platform.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Hungary, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. For users in the European Union, nothing in these Terms affects your rights under mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable, or if modification is not possible, it shall be severed from these Terms. The remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
